It’s interesting how we constantly judge and gauge others yet forget to take our own personal inventory!
Do you feel that you are; street smart, book smart or have common sense? Most people would answer yes to at least one of these. If you have at least two out of the three and still aren’t successful in life, then you should be asking yourself why?
Sometimes we may be very intelligent human beings or have lots of common sense, but a major flaw can destroy all of it. Flaws such as low emotional intelligence, self esteem, arrogance, obsessive controlling or compulsive disorder (OCD), etc. can discredit you and diminish your relationship with others. These flaws can totally discredit and serve as an injustice to your intelligence, therefore preventing you from excelling in several facets of life.
Struggling with a chronic-illness is one major variable that can cause lots of flaws and destroy ones self esteem, ability to deal with stress and process information, therefore inhibiting your ability to communicate to others successfully.
So how or can we rise above this problem without being viewed as inept or self destructing?
From my own experience, I know there are important emotional steps that I must practice. Steps such as: tolerance, patience, forgiveness, perseverance, self-awareness and confidence.
These emotional actions seem simple but when you put them to practice you will find it’s not all that easy. Not easy but you must continually persevere and practice them in order to rise above. I have wiped out several times but I continue to pull myself back-up and try again.

Susan,my sister told me about it and convinced me to do it. So it's been a week now since I've joined... look it up on google and JOIN! We can live chat all the time. That's the best thing about it. And you can serch for people... You were the first person I serched for when I joined! But you weren't there (I'm making a sad face)
Anyway, when you join look me up Nancy Snideman, then invite me to be your friend. Once I accept we will be linked to eachother and we can live chat all we want! I can't wait!!!!!!

Nancy
PS - how did you put me on the side? I want to do the same w/ you... but I need a pic of you. Email me one!
You are so hillarious. I read you personal info and you just cracked me up when you said you didn't know why women waist their time w/ trashy novels... and then said some of the SEX talk could be useful...
You are so funny! I just love you to death. I wish we lived by eachother too. I think I will be the next one to visit. Hopefully in the Spring I will make a trip - alone - no kids attatched. And we will have a blast in the City of Dallas... making all kinds of rucu!
rucus is the word I meant.
Like we use to do... When Warren (aka Wart) use to take us to all the church dances. I'll never forgot the time when he was driving and we were in the back seat taking off our slips and waving them outside the window on the freeway.
We made all kinds of rucus back then. And we were good at it. Warren's poor memories of us must give him nightmares to this day. He must have been so embarrassed of us...
Anyway - those were some of the best times of my life!!!!!!!!!
Oh - and I think your daughter is gorgeous. She's such a cute cheer leader. And you and Mike make a beautiful couple. You guys lood to nice together. I haven't seen a pic w/ you two since you got married.
Can you believer we're all almost 40?
Weird!
Yes we did have a blast and we def aggrevated the hell out of your brother. It was all fun and games.
Your family is so beautiful too! You guys are so precious!
Did your cell number change? I can never get ahold of you. e-mail me your new cell no. I have dropped you several text...it's ok. It just takes time..you can do it!!!
Love you,
Jenece
Hey Jenece, I have the same cell #. but I only use it when I'm in the car going somewhere... and ever sincer I've had the twins I'm home more often than out and about.
And also, a couple months ago one of my daughters filled up all the memory on my cell... I don't know how. with video's or something. She's only 9 and I can't believe she knows more about my cell phone than I do. Anyway, that's besides the point. The point is that she used up all the memory and so I haven't gotten any messages from anyone... Last night Doug emptied out the memory and so I should get everything now. Sorry about that!
But just so you know I don't have my cell with me all the time.
Oh, and BTW I love the quotes on the bottom of your post!
Jenece -
I got into the website and tried to enter a comment, but the system would not allow it. Here is my comment:
Jenece - You are an amazing woman!
I admire you for listening to your gut and doing the research necessary to figure out what was wrong. Shame on the doctors who did not listen to your entire story in order to fully understand your symtoms! Shame on the doctors to not take the information you gave them and spend time researching! Thank goodness you had the tenacity and intelligence to take their tasks on yourself!
We could actually begin a debate about the healthcare system in the U.S. run by lobbyists and Pharmaceutical companies.
I encourage you to continue to be strong, write your blog and educate the masses!
Love,
Sandy
